By day, with the fierce wind whipping and tangling through your hair, making your face tingle and your breath suck in,
... or by the bright glow of the midnight sun... the dazzling view of Dyrholaey, off the southern Iceland coast is a feast for the senses.

Those are just flat-out incredible views Terry. I can see why you fell in love with the place. Have fun camping this weekend. Oh, and thanks for the "nanner, nanner, nanner" bit. Been ages since I've heard that utterence and it brings a smile to my face everytime I see it.
We loved your caption for the photo on Sar's blog! You were hilarious! And so clever.
We're also amazed at these photos!
Awe - shucks! Cute puppies visiting me today :-)
Trée, and the pics just keep on coming :-) You know I'll be in my element this weekend - no phones, no pools no pets... well, actually my daughter is bringing a huge rott/pitbull mix along, but Anayla is just a puppy at heart and she smiles a lot. Nanner Nanner (sticks out her tongue)
Tom and Icy - woof! Thanks for the kind words... that buffalo was hilarious in itself. Your comment wasn't shabby either... actually I thought it should be a contender!
I'd love to see it in person!
I imagine standing on the edge looking out and all I imagine I would feel is complete elation. Stunningly beautiful pictures, putting that on my list, no need to check twice :-)
WOW! These are absolutely amazing. I'm ready to take off for Iceland right now!
Hey, that is the view to Westmannaeyjar. Well pictured. Impressive, even for me who has seen the real thing!
*shows off and knows it*
RT - Icelandair has cheap flights from Florida - what are you waiting for? :-)
Actonbell - Thanks - and it is always nice to see you!
Autumn - You will just have to put the entire country on your list... too many pretty places to countdown individually :-)
Hi Beth - Stay tuned for more Iceland pics - I can't seem to stop posting them :-)
Monika - As you know, the pictures don't even do the Land justice... but it is the next best thing to being there :-)
That's a great story. Waiting for more. » » »
