I would hate to try walking around barefoot around there.

That's one place I couldn't walk in. Nice shot.

Oh how my daughter would love that! That would be heaven for her as she is very much into stones and rocks these days!

Beautiful indeed!

This picture makes me appreciate the beaches in my area where the rocks are pretty much contained to the cliffs. Walking along the ocean is quite easy. Does this beach look like this year round?

we have smooth sand beaches here! See here and here. Of course, then there's a lot of beaches that are made entirely of shiny black pebbles, like this one.

What an awesome picture. Very mysterious and intriguing.

Awe :P Fuzzbox - kick your shoes off and try it, you'll like it! Those are big rocks. Besides, the sand will feel so good between your toes...

Gareth - really? I didn't know there were beaches like this in your neck of the world. This is not a beach shot - it is in the interior of the little country.

Yay - Keshi's back! Long time gone girl :-) Welcome back - you were missed! Thanks for stopping by.

TotalChaos - you might be surprised how you could walk there. Okay, so just sit down on one of the rocks and ponder the beauty and silence of the place - over the steady whistle of the wind in your ears...

MizB - I'm sure the littls MissB would adore running around between and around the rocks. So would I :-)

Miss Litzi - I miss the beaches down south where I grew up in Malibu. Those beaches are nicely sandy, good for sunning ones'self, or playing frisbee or walking along the shore with a lover... But this is not a beach picture. See ECS's cool comment below.

E - Thank you for the lovely picture links. I can never get enough of Iceland through your eyes. I love the sandy one - and your Reynisdrangar photo brings back nice memories of my last visit.

Jillie - thanks that is sweet :-) Glad you saw the unique mystery of that place. It is a very impressive place to actually be. Pictures only capture a part of it.
