Very early this morning my Sweetie lost his Father. Yet another life gone from here. I put my Boy on a plane bound for Orlando. Our parting sadness triggers the raw feelings of not-so-distant losses of my own. Life is nothing but hellos and goodbyes - and the goodbyes at the end are so final. Oh for a way to get used to them.

What a beautiful image.
My heart just wraps around your sweetie and you. Oh for the answers and the self-forgiveness and the long days ahead.

The weather is fine, and yet this will be the coldest winter I remember.

So much love to you and to yours. I hope we can all heal together.

Thanks all Trace, Autumn, Angela, Trée & Pam for your kind thoughts. I will send them on the George. I know death is a part of every single life, but dealing with it is just hard.

Jeanne, the pistachios are fitting because my Sweetie is such a hippie and into such simple, natural things.

Agnes,
Your empathy is comforting. As one who walks that road yourself, your understanding is so deep. I hope you are doing okay with your own grief, moment by moment. It is a never-ending process. Thanks so much for the hugs :-)
