Today I'd like to be walking in this field of lavendar - under warm sunny skies. Can you imagine what the scented air would be like... ahhh, I love the smell of lavendar.

This is the scene at our cabin at Shaver Lake, CA in the sierras this weekend... summer is nowhere in sight! Dreaming of the sun...

Wow! Both pictures are beautiful. I must admit, I used to live in S.D. so I know how awful long, snowy winters can be but I would love to have a day that looks like it does at your cabin.

Sweetie - you are such a hunk. I'm one lucky girl :-D

Jeanne, pretty soon you'll be out planting... it isn't that far off :-D

Autumn... waiting for the warmth of the sun just like you :-D

Tai - Those fields are intoxicating... I'd love to be there in person

Keshi - so good to see you back! I've missed you.

Trace - almost as good as the beach, no?

Anne, that pic below is the cabin - a.k.a. the family getaway :-D... lots of snow last weekend.

I think you will miss us, as coming down the I-5 you will cut over to the left on either 80 or 50 to go to Tahoe, whereas we would be a cut over to the right toward San Francisco :-(. When is Jeremy getting married?

Angela, you miss the snow? I suppose coming from SD you would - LOL. Give me the sunny warm winds blowing softly over my skin, the scented air tickling my nose anyday.

LOL I saw that purple field the other day. My first thought; "Wow, I like lavender but that's gotta be an overwhelming smell." I bet you could smell that place 30 miles away.

Love it.
