With all the crazy weather around here recently, I feel like I'm in another country! Granted, the San Francisco Bay Area gets odd weather once in a while, but now the novelty has worn off. Walnut Creek is nestled in the foothills of a beautiful mountain called Mt Diablo. We usually see snow up on Mt Diablo at least once a year if we are lucky

but there has been snow up there for the past two weeks, with more still being dumped every day. I'm getting just a wee bit tired of this chilly blustery wet weather. After all, isn't this sunny California? I love wild weather adventure, but I prefer to experience it in another part of the country, not by stepping out my own front door into sleet and hail which is battering my poor tender baby garden shoots to a pulp. The blossoms on the trees around Walnut Creek, which had so hopefully popped out a few weeks ago, now lie crushed and bruised on the wet ground. I know I'm whining, but all my hats & coats are wet, and my shoes muddy and gross. Where is that warm sunshine to dry up the muddy swamp which is my back forty, so I can play in the garden again? Mt Diablo is supposed to be warm and inviting, full of flowers and dry hiking trails....

I'm beginning to forget what summer was like...

Happy Full Moon everyone!

Ah, so that's what happened to our winter this year in Georgia! It stayed around the Bay Area and never made it here! We have had spring weather throughout the whole "winter" here.

I guess that means we, in return, are keeping the spring from you now? ;)

I LOVE all pics you post, by the way!

That poppy(?) picture is a blow below the belt. Did you cast a spell of longing over it? It's like the sidewalk drawing in Mary Poppins. I want in!

That goes for the one above it too.

Beautiful pictures! :-)
I soooooo know how you feel at the moment - the cold is getting to me big time, just waiting on all the snow to disappear!
Not having much luck with that garden of yours - cats and cold weather! Hopefully the luck and the weather will change :-)

That full moon has been a looming one. Wicked and beautiful all at once.

Those garden shoots and I are still overly hopeful of Spring and warmth. Not looking forward to summer heat but we have got to get out of this windy chill. I shiver to think of it.
March 15th and we JUST turned our heater back on. Sigh.
Better than 104 degrees, but then I wasn't wishing for 104 either. hah!

Hugs to you and c'mon springtime.
