Ah, just a glance at this Icelandic cold water makes me feel better :-)

I closely follow the musings of ECS, who might just possibly have the best Icelandic Blog I've ever seen. When I see her pictures, and read the accompanying narratives, I long to be there in the flesh, feeling the cold wind on my face and smelling the sea along the harbor... or standing on a steep, black volcanic cliff, beholding the stunning view which goes on for miles... If you have a moment, check it out, and then maybe you will become obsessed like me with the pure beauty of Iceland.

Wow, thanks for the links! I'm glad to hear you enjoy my commentary and photos so much. Blogging helps remind me of what's good about living here when I'm feeling low about it (like right now).

Keep up the good work yourself- I love coming to see the photos you've posted here.

Right now, after a hot afternoon ride, that water looks like a little piece of heaven; and, right now, I look a little like that polar bear. :-D

Elisa, I think about you all the time, making your way through a difficult set of circumstances. Your situation parallels what I imagine myself to perhaps experience one day, and I admire your courage and determination. I haven't had the opportunity to go hiking around all the places you have, but I did go to Þjórsárdalur in the car. Your views and descriptions make me want to go exploring and see those lovely view in person.

Actonbell - always happy to please :-) That website is where I go to get my Iceland fixes.

Trée - How do you have the energy to ride in the heat? Sheesh - I'd give my eyeteeth for a sheet of ice to lay on like that :-)

Welcome Beth! Thanks for the kind words. Ireland is nice - been there too - but my heart belongs in Iceland :-)

KESHI! Still living in winter land down under? Could use a shot of cool right now. Doing okay though - how about you?
