On our way to Geysir (Iceland's tiny version of Yellowstone Park in Wyoming, US) we stopped along the roadside to glimpse this fabulous view of an old volcanic crater, filled with a sparkling blue pool of cold water at the bottom. Anyone for a swim?

Is this the Eye in Eyesland?

Meet you there!

That blue water does look throughly inviting. I get so excited every time I come here to see more pics from your trip :-) Never disappointed either, Iceland either is just completely beautiful, or it is through your lens ;-), either way, always a delight!

Jeanne, you always make me laugh. Tee hee - clever comment.

Hey Autumn - I hope you are making a list (and checking it twice) of places you want to see in Iceland for our next trip :-) My own list is endless...

Beth, thanks for the kind words. Believe it or not, the digital camera I brought along for a backup worked better than my trusty 35 millimeter. The pictures don't even tell the tale though - you must see Iceland through your own eyes to appreciate it fully.

Trace - the place is incredible - what can I say? I need some more adjectives!

Sherri - prepare to be exhilarated!
