Bird contemplating cement jungle.... what happened to the trees?

This is me, looking at the corporate world which is growing like a cancer over all the peaceful, harmonious, beautiful places in the world. I think I need bigger wings.

If we could peer a few centuries into the future we'd see new forms of societies with corporations as governments and Big Brothers.
Poor bird, can't see the forest for the buildings.

Happy mid-week.

Those wings will be carrying you off for a little reprieve soon enough, 44 days and counting.

Oh those poor little birds within us need space to soar. Good luck in your flight.

Go bomb someone- I'm sure they deserve it!

Are you sure the bird is not saying
"Grat City" he is probably tired from all the French Fries he/she just ate.

I love the open spaces but to tell you the truth I love cities. What else should we do with all the people...spread them around the wilderness? Don't you think it better to contain them so that when we like to get away we have a place to go :)

They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder...how can that be beautiful to something that is meant for nature?

Jillie - who knows what goes on in the mind of a pigeon? :-D

JJ - yes, I have been away from my blog - not enough time in between work and weekend traveling... thanks for coming by anyway! That Bear has kept me occupied today *big GRIN*

Tom and Icy - I think our government is already composed of one big corporation. If the pigeon is looking for trees, he is going to be searching for a long time...

Autumn - I feel like that pigeon more than I'd like to say... *looks down in a panic from a tall tall building...* which way do I go? How is your weekend going? Had some nice time off?

G - yes, that freedom is a must for every one of us I think. I love it when you stop by.

Weatherchazer - Aha! You found the ray of sunshine in this pigeon's life! Look out world - here I come!!!!

Mo'a, If the european rockdove ate french fries, he's never make it up to the top of that skyscraper! And yes, I agree - put all the monsterous cities in a bunch so we can still find freedom and escape to places of stark beauty away from the concrete jungles.

Toby - come back anytime - I do love your face :-D

Jodes - am still plotting on how to get those bigger wings. I fear I would fail to be airborne on the ones I came into the world with...

Keshi - how are you doing? I stop over once in a while - your posts are so beautiful and filled with great philosophically ponderings. You have those beautiful gum trees down there, don't you?

Jillie - well, as I said, it is hard to imagine what a pigeon might be thinking about - does it even have thought like "wow, look at the view"? I rather like Weatherchazer's suggestion
:-D Not beauty persay, but there is some happiness to be found in that thought :-D

Doug - my beak is plenty sharp thank you. caw caw

Minka - no need for colorblindness - there is nothing but grey to be seen from there...

I feel like that bird seems to feel sometimes. What a great shot. I have a pet pigeon. Yep, you heard me right. An English Trumpeter someone gave me because it pinched them every chance it got. It does the same thing to me, and whacks me really hard with his wings but it totally cracks me up. He can't even break the skin but he takes it so seriously it makes me laugh. He lives for war, that bird. Reminds me of a rooster sometimes. I love that crazy bird. His name is Caesar. Wish I could set him free but the hawks would get him in a heartbeat. It seriously bugs me to see a bird in a cage. Bigtime.

screw the corporate world, they are messing everything up so they can make more and more and gobble up more and more just to appease their greedy little pockets and the stockholders.
