Well, thanks everyone for the well-wishes. Tobin (our big 15 year old St. Bernard/Australian Sheperd mix who had injured himself Monday night) pulled off a miracle, and his last trip to the vet proved to be NOT his last... and we brought him right back home after shooting him up with drugs and even getting a doggy pedicure. I think he just got wind of the doomsday plans and rallied - he's not as dumb as he looks :-D So, we put off the inevitable, and puppy got a reprieve.
