I really don't care for memes much either - once in a while I'll do one, just because. I've been tagged by several people including Axe Man and indirectly by Icegrapefruit and Actonbell to do this, so here goes. This one is thankfully short - but man, it makes me think. Here are the rules.

1. Write your own six word memoir.
2. Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like.
3. Link to the person who tagged you in your post.
4. Tag five more blogs with links.
5. And don’t forget to leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play!

I won't tag anyone - but like Actonbell's tag said, if you are reading this and feel inspired, go ahead and play.

Will I ever take the chance?

I heard somewhere, and I may have got it garbled,"At the end of your life you'll only regret the things you didn't do,"[and the chances you didn't take!]

I like what you came up with.
I'm not a fan of memes either. I have several of them in draft just in case I run out of stuff to blog about... but I never seem to be at a loss for stuff to blather on and on and on about.

Beautiful image! I'm just guessing you're wanting to travel somewhere in particular?

First you need a canoe.

Lime - Thank goodness I got the pregnant part over with 28 years ago. The picture was taken at sunset from the edge of the beach at my aunt & uncle's home on San Juan Island, WA.

Anne - That's the whole point. Will I ever manage to make it happen?

G - Truly the story of my life... Ms Scaredy Cat can't make a decision, scared to take the leap over the edge... likes to stay with the tried and true - and safe fork in the road.

Molly - You have struck upon the stark truth I think.

Jamie Dawn - I enjoy your "blather" - it is so soothing ;) I have a shortage of drafts - in fact I live dangerously from post to post - right on that edge.

Anonymous - there are several places I could say are on my shortlist - two in particular. Iceland, and San Juan Island. If I could figure out the way to do it - it would be done. I'm still figuring.

Dr. John: A canoe, a viking ship, or even an ordinary plane or a ferry :) and, a whole lot of $$.

Terry, that's a beautiful photo and true words. Chance is there so much more often than how many times we take it. Hope you will do!

Maybe chance is similar to luck in the old saying: Luck is the residue of good planning.

One of the best 6 word memoirs that I have read. You give us a glimpse of you and make us ask for more. Very good.

Not wild about meme's myself but you have said a lot in 6 short words. Beautiful photo to go with it.
Did you go camping? Pt. Lobos is a gorgeous place to camp near.

Just go for it Terry, my motto is no regrets, whats done is done, so take the chance only good can come of it.

I'm with you on the meme thing. I love the picture, though...The Missus and I would love to be there at sunset.

That was absolutely perfect, right on the nose! I loved it!

I feel this myself in soooo many ways.

Ariel the Thief: I am planning to take the chance first thing when it arrives. I think it is getting closer.

Tom and Icy: I think that is a good quote. I know it isn't going to just fall in my lap - planning is the biggest part.

Actonbell - I've gotten so many neat responses to this post including yours - really it is so encouraging.

Lone Grey Squirrel - Thank you for the kind words. This 6 words does sum up my outlook on life, more than I want to admit!

Photowannabe - alas, I did go "sort of" camping - we slept out in the back forty under the stars...the next best thing :) Since our pup Tobin is nearing the end of his life, we couldn't drag him along even though I entertained the idea.

Northern Musings: Coming from you I feel another vote of confidence. Very good motto :) Thanks.

Fred - There are few more perfect places to watch the sun set than in the Puget Sound. Trust me.

Sherri - You HAVE been taking the chance over the past several months - bravo.

JD - Hey you - shouldn't you be scrubbing off that tattoo? Oh, I forgot it's past your bedtime. I was having trouble taking the sunset down because it is so beautiful. I got to eat fabulous oysters that night - such good memories. Asta manana Chica.
