Iceland Shore
Double click on the beach to take a closer stroll on the lava bed...

Wind tugs on your hair
Waves whipped to frenzied whitecaps
Hold your breath in awe

Oh that silly Russian, he didn't see God behind the Moon. Where did he put his eyes? Beautiful!

Oh that looks sooooo very cold!

I remember how cold the Atlantic was when I stuck my big toe in the ocean off of Inch Beach in Ireland. BRRRR......

Just don't eat the yellow snow, Doug. :-D

Ariel - thanks. It is a land which retains its purity and virgin beauty. Nice comment ;)

Tom & Icy - yes, my life's parachute which can't be re-used. Perhaps that is an omen, that I will end up there after all.

Anonymous: Where were the Oyster Catchers? They are usually hanging around there!

Javajazz - it could well be the edge of the world. It was taken on the way to the airport (to go home boo hoo hoo). After you take off right over the water, the beautiful country is gone = just gone from view. That is only a tiny snippet of the true vastness of said ROCK. I can't even begin to tell you about it... it must be experienced. I'm longing for the next encounter.

Anonymous - dang - and we missed it!

SOe - You truly understand the nature of the place! Great points you made. It isn't a complete picture without the sea spray and horizontal rain.

Doug - Be my guest.

Jamie Dawn - you know, I thought I would be uncomfortable in the cold in Iceland. I was not cold - with the right clothing cold isn't even a fear. I had my Icelandic wool Lopapeysa (sweater) on and I was warm as a lamb.

Jillie - only your toe? I thought you would go for a full polar bear dip! :)

Will Doohan - LOL! That dog doesn't eat yellow snow - only makes it.
