I read over at Nessa's place something about finding her heart's desire... It got me to thinking about what would my own heart's desire be. I think there are many things that could safely fit into that category, but one that came to mind would be to be able to comfortably afford to live near a place like pictured here (which was taken across the street from Muir Beach in northern California). Rural, simple, not too populated, and AWAY from the clutter and anxiety producing traffic laden freeways of the city. Oh - and definately by the beach.

I'm with you on the beach. One of my favorite things to do is to take an early morning walk in the sand when I'm on vacation.

That's a lot a mailboxes. But easy for the postal carrier.

Sounds like an ideal place, so long as the houses aren't as close as the letterboxes ;)

I'd like it alot better if there were only 1-2 mail boxes..

Reminds me of a redneck post office where I grew up.

Fred - sand is good for the soul, whether it be on the creekside, or the oceanside :) Hopefully, unless it is the Sahara, it means WATER :)

Red Mojo - yes, easy for the mailman (says my honey, who was one for a time in his life). I thought it just looked cool.

Anonymous - that is the whole idea with the mailboxes all lined up together... the houses are so sparsely (and far apart) arranged throughout the countryside that it is better to just put all the mail together in one central spot.

Yellowdog Granny - gee whiz, you are more amazingly like me (or visa versa) than I realized. True - just one or two would be the ideal - meaning, no people. Why am I such a hermit at heart?

Tom and Icy - You must define your definition of your post office to me. Hmm - I didn't know they had rednecks in Ohio anyway!

All those mail boxes and no clutter. I doubt it.

Great pix. But that's a LOT of folks. Maybe you want a place with just four or five mailboxes.

LOL Terry! At first I thought you want to be a bee or something. The comments made me smart. You are right, sand does good to the soul.
