Okay, so I've put a piece of art on my blog. I got it from "Stumble upon", from which, BTW, one can receive, copy (with permission) browse, be boggled, and generally be amazed. I adore "pieces" of things. They can be square, round, ginkgo-leaf-shaped... whatever... as Monet himself found out, and I will be enamoured with them all. This picture was no different - obviously hand assembled but who cares? The simple patterns of the different shaped & sized spheres made this picture most intriguing. I'm not myself - having been caught up with work, company (my dad) and chores (they remain legion) so thus I've been absent from my usual haunts. Back in a jiffy = thanks for hanging true.

It brings to mind the word
gestalt: A configuration or pattern of elements so unified as a whole that it cannot be described merely as a sum of its parts.
I guess it can be random or configured by someone. Like life.
Reminds me of hard coated chocolate jaffas which roll down the isles of picture theatres here. Then gathered and assembled as an edible artpiece ... ;)
Looks beautiful! .... I should eat something, because it looks like a lot of eggs to me ...from ostrich to hummingbird
oh i like it very much. there is so much about it that appeals to me really. i'm glad you shared it. thanks
Get back to work! :)
Wow! I adore pieces of things, too, especially round ones that are smooth to touch. Mmmm....
After taking psychedelic laxative.
i enjoy pieces of things too...
as long as there is chocolate
involved, it can be any shape.
sorry you're so crazy busy...
dang, how about a vacation
already...!
Tom & Icy - That is profound! Thank you for teaching me a new word and in fact, a new concept.
Anonymous - Very good! Sort of like a candy jigsaw puzzle, eh?
SOe - Now you are on the same track as me with the thoughts of eggs, big and small.
Lime - Kind of like a tie dye only with an image. Well, maybe not. In fact, I think that picture is not even a real photo - but is computer generated. Well anyway, I'm glad you liked it too.
Red Mojo - Ha ha! That is precisely why I've been away from the blog lately - I've been being very good and not doing it at work! (Still allow myself a quick word twist at the end of the work day though - *wink)
Ariel the Thief - Let me tell you again how much I like your avatar. It makes you look so young :)
Lammy - Coming from a Lamb, that makes perfect sense :D
JJ - Make any or all of the pieces olives and I'm a happy camper. Camper - did someone say camping? Okay, twist my arm... after we drive to the top of California to attend yet another graduation tomorrow - I think we will take the coast route home and camp along the way. The lost coast - how does that sound? Throw in a smelly old dog to make it real, and there you have it. Your kiddo made it home okay?
Something very pleasing about this. You can almost feel the softness of the shapes. Oh, I've been pretty absent too, so I'm just catching up. The upside is that I haven't missed toooo much :)
