Photowannabe - *links arms*... can you hear the waves down there by the lighthouse?
Ariel the Thief - *links arms on the other side* just wait... soon you will see the deer who were grazing in the tall summer grass.
Anonymous - Leaving now would be detrimental to my job... as in, I wouldn't make it back in time to report to work. Heck - I might not make it back at all.
Lime - follow the fence is exactly what we did. And it was good :)
Yellowdog Granny - I love old fences, and if you double click to enlarge that photo you will see the lichen growing on it. Lovely old wooden fences make great pictures, but they don't keep the deer out.
Dr. John - well, to each his own. Your activities sound nice - all except for the shopping (I seriously don't like to shop)
Anonymous - no, you didn't miss the fog at all. It stayed around all day over there on the coast. And here inland at our house, we have a fog of another type - smoke, from all of the wildfires burning in the state. That fog is one you would do better to miss.
G - and a grand adventure was had by all :) Barefoot is the only way to go, especially when you make it down the tidepools...
Tom & Icy: - when we are small - things are so exaggerated. A creek makes a fine ocean indeed. I had a creek near my rural house growing up, and that's where you could always find me catching pollywogs in the clear water and tiny toads on the sandy beach.
Lone Grey Squirrel - I wish I was there too. I was there, but now I'm not. Thank goodness for pictures :)
McRaven - Peace. It was enormously peaceful there, so much so that the deer were comfortable enough to graze just a few yards away from us.
Red Mojo - Sometimes the foggy cool walks in the remote spots are the best ones. The only thing that would have made it better was maybe a hot cup of coffee, which we didn't have.

No! Weekends are for shopping, sleeping, reading, and worship.
That's what weekends are for! It's a bit late now - have missed the fog!
You bet (kicks off shoes to follow the road...)
Reminds me of my childhood where I grew up, but it didn't lead to the sea, only to a creek. But to me it was the ocean.
I wish I was there.
What a great photo! So peaceful.
love that shot, would love that walk too!
