Must be wonderful to sit there and listen to the sea...

It does look blissful :) I hope that's sea salt in the air and not smoke in the distance!

nice composition...
i like the contrast
of sharp pointy things
with the calm gentle beach
beckoning in the background.

I clicked.
The picture got bigger.
Nothing blew up.
When do the explosions start?
What little people?

Ariel the Thief: Yes, it must be - although I wouldn't know. Up on that cliff, it was too far away to hear the waves.

Anonymous - salt air it was indeed. That particular day was before the fires had started.

JJ - that beach is always calling me back with its tempting pleasures. Away up high on the cliff I was definately too far away from the water. I had to lay down in the gravel to take the picture LOL.

McRaven - and it smells a whole heck of a lot better than the smokey air surrounding us at present!

Julie -LOL! I knew that is how my caption would be interpreted. I've been fair to middlin.. how about you? Recovered from Europe yet? A year ago I was in Italy, and now I'm just home in the mundane day to day routine. *sigh* Dreaming of another trip, just like you :)

anonymous - Idylic bliss; my dreamboat on one side, and the beautiful Pacific Ocean on the other... what more could a girl wish for? xo

Yellowdog Granny - so would I - in a heartbeat! But since there is probably no way on earth in which that scenario could transpire, I'll have to settle for an occasional fix as I drive by.

Dr. John - Okay you wiseguy... you knew what I meant. You are such a boy... boys always go for blowing up stuff, don't they. Those little tiny black specks down on the sand aren't sandfleas you know, they're people! *mutters under breath..."whippersnapper"*

This looks so inviting and I did blow up all those little people.
The smoke is so thick today we can't see 1 mile in front of us. Almost night time in daytime. Really ugly and the temp is 107 right now.

Photowannabe: It is fun blowing them up, yes? Hallelujah, the heat has lifted somewhat today. The smoke still chokes, but it is bearable without the stifling heat.

Tom & Icy: I know they don't have beaches like that in Ohio. Come on down, I'll show you the most spectacular coastline ever.

Fred: - Actually, we were driving on down the coast on a roadtrip so we just pulled over, way up there on the cliffside to gaze down at the little tiny beachgoers below. Saving the moment to savor later when I am landlocked.

Javajazz: You got it Guido.

Pavel - Welcome. Your icon is a gorgeous picture all by itself.

Diesel - No, come on, admit it. You loved it.

Doug - What's an asplosion?

Sister Celtic - Need a cough drop? Little people are fun, aren't they?

Thanks Nessa :) It was a cool spot too.

Will Doohan - Glad you liked it... nothing like that on the Jersey shore is there?

I enlarged the photo and nobody blew up.
I was very disappointed.
I did notice a huge shark out in the ocean waters, or maybe that was just my fertile imagination gone wild.

Lovely shot.
