An old dog
A tall Bear
Take a walk
On the beach

The Bear has lumbered off to another part of the Pacific to see a special little Grandbaby Bear on her very first birthday... I miss him already. Some Bears get all the fun.

I'd like to join that walk, too. So far, an old Dog, a tall Bear, a yellow Granny and a Thief. Oh and a Crow. :)

That looks a beautiful shoreline. I hardly ever visit the beach which is only a couple of miles from where I live because I hate sand. But pictures can make some love stunning.

Thanks for popping in on my blog.

I love walking on the beach. I should do it more often since I live so close to the water.

Nice photo, Terry, right before shoes and paws got soaked.

Yellowdog Granny - I know you would love the experience... fresh salty air, soft sand beneath your toes, soft hissing foam caressing your feet... it is so good.

Ariel the Thief - So far the motley crew is FABULOUS! We are all there, and have since added a Crystal Jigsaw from the UK, my own Wyoming Sister, a Floridian Teacher, a train-building Doctor from Wisconsin, and a very savvy Dawg from the desert. Could one ever wish for more exciting companions? Thanks for your great inspiration Ms Hugarian Friend!

Crystal Jigsaw = your blog is a wonder in itself. Do you live in Scotland or south of there? Your area is on my list of must-travel-to places in my near future :D

Sal: The doggy and the Bear both got wet - but isn't that to be expected at the beach? I know his pants tattled on him ;D

Fred - Truly there isn't much excuse for not dipping your feet into the Atlantic...I live about 1-1/2 hours from the beach but I find that the places I dip my feet into the Pacific are away up the coast from here. Don't know why it is so hard to just make a beach run... seems like the city (San Francisco) just gets in the dang way.

Dr. Johh - Your words were so dear = thank you for making it better. I've contemplated (very intensely recently_ the thought of moving to an area inland where the sea doesn't reach. My Bear and I have come to the conclusion that we won't move at all, due to many circumstances, but mainly lack of money. One other main consideration for me has always been... lack of ocean. How can one live knowing the salty air and wind-whipped spray is days away?

Doug - Alas, shoes and paws were dunked, shoes were abandoned, and it was all one fun, sandy, gritty, doggy-smelling ball of fun once we were back in the truck. I wouldn't miss one minute of it.

Somehow that pic and poem is sadish, it stirs my emotions and don't know why.

Good journies, Tobin. May some doggy treats await you. Sorry for your loss, Terry and Bear.

Tom, you are more astute than you know. Tobin passed away Monday around noontime. I posted this picture of the two friends on the beach a day before.

My Love - Hugs across the miles. So sad to lose our big goofy friend.

JJ - All those walks in the past year were special... That was his first time in the ocean. xo

Doug - I know you know what it is like. Thanks. Give your two furry ones an extra pat tonight.

Jamie Dawn - Well said - thanks for the sentiment.

Hey G - This last part of the long friendship we had with our big pumpkin colored giant was sweeter than the beginning. We are so sad that he isn't with us anymore.
