Coffee and Chocolate - a perfect combo to soothe, after having crazy shopping days ...
CREMA AL CAFE’ CON CIOCCOLATA or COFFEE CREAM WITH CHOCOLATE ‘CHIPS’
This dessert taste a bit like Tiramisù but it’s miles lighter and much easier to eat a lot of!
The original recipe is from La cucina Siciliana av Maria Adele di Leo but the chocolate was added.
CREMA AL CAFE’ CON CIOCCOLATA or COFFEE CREAM WITH CHOCLOATE ‘CHIPS’
3 egg yolks
½ dl sugar
1 dl very strong coffee
1 dl milk
1 tsp flour
1 ½ dl fresh cream
30-40 gr coarsely grated dark chocolate
- Whip the egg yolks and the sugar until they turn pale yellow-white.
- Add coffee, milk and sift the flour into the egg mixture. Stir properly.
- Let it simmer on low heat until it thickens, stir all the time.
- Put it aside to cool.
- While it gets cold, you whip the cream and grate the chocolate into coarse chips and when the cream is cold, add the whipped cream and the chocolate ‘chips’. Save some so that you can sprinkle them over the cream when you serve it!

Chocolate Coffee Mousse. I think I'll dream about it tonight, having seen it first at bedtime. I hope it's the good kind of dream, where I actually get to taste it, and not the bad kind of dream where it disappears or I wake up just when I'm about to begin.

Damn,that sure beats cold coffee,not that cold coffee is bad,But treats are GREAT.Though I have no thoughts of changing my wardrobe do to an increase in waist band size.Been there done that,Tall mocha every morning plus apple fritter for a year.
