Travel. The thought fills me with delight and anticipation. Imagining the moon hanging above the empty tracks, the countryside bathed in brilliant light from it's glow. Gazing out of the big picture window as the scenery changes is sort of like looking into the deep dancing flames of a campfire. The eyes take in its beauty while the mind wanders from place to place, constantly in motion. What pleasure travel brings, with all of its myriad of new experiences to grow the soul. I'm hungry to see more of the Earth's beauty, feel the wind of a foreign country on my face, put my feet into lapping waters on a shore far from home, exclaim in wonderment as I stand on a precipice high above the sea of trees below.

A trip means adventure, no matter what the final destination.

YEAH BABY! Countdown began as to only 1 week until I'm gone. I don't fly out until late evening though, so I'll still be at work this time next Thursday !@)($(#*^$(*!&@^#!

I love this picture - it just absolutely takes me away every time I look at it. (instant sanity pause at work LOL!)

I AM excited, but wahhhhhh, can't seem to baloney my way out the door to take the day off... LOL Never could play hookey too well - remember the "walk the plank" story I told you? Old habits die hard. I'll just sit here at my desk and be excited all by myself.

Hi Trace,

I actually did a small amount of online shopping for a few out of town relatives... yay! Okay, not much but it is a start! I'm starting to freak out about only one week of shopping left before I have to fly. I have to have it all done by then :-O

Terry, your talent for descriptors always makes me long for that thing you speak of. You are amazing in this way.
Vicariously through you, would not be a loss. :)

Aggie, thank you for such a nice comment. BTW, I tried to see the moon at 10 but the clouds and rain misted it out. The thought was there though - I did love the thought you had of gazing at the same moon at the same time as your Dad. I've been doing that with my Sweetie who is in Florida right now. Very poignant feelings.
