Ah, the exercise path...half of me wants to be on this hot road of sun and sweat, while the other half cringes in distaste... I'm off to the eliptical trainer. It really might be nicer to be on the hot road, warm air fragrant with desert scents, strengthening me with each breath... No, I'm off to the GYM, where the muscles are all important; odors are never more than BO and old sweat... I think I will enjoy all of the swimming adventures when we visit Island. Can you tell I'm dreaming...?

my solution was to buy a belt, like I really need a belt at this point, but the illusion is that it is the belt holding the pants up NOT my expanding gut.

This morning I decided that I would get a personal trainer. I have been enjoying physical therapy so much and I can see what a difference it can makes. I am getting ready for Denmark and Island:)and a sleveless dress ;0
As for swimming never liked it much.....imagine and I am Icelandic> What is wrong with that picture? Years and years of swimming as a youth and I never getting to the point of liking it or feeling comfortable in the water.....I however, did the 200 meters every year.

Yikes, I loved the picture, but then read beneath it about BO and sweat smells! LOL

Anonymous - you have the body of an Adonis... no illusions needed :-)

Autumn - that picture does sweep one out of the "normal" zone, doesn't it? Hope you have had a great day whatever you are doing.

Jeanne - ummm bacon sizzling at sunset... awesome metaphor... why does it have to be food? Not good for my new diet plan.. :-)

Tom - Didn't know you live in Arizona - I do love this kind of a view - open, stark, beautiful.

Moa - you have been enjoying physical therapy? Really? Didn't know that was possible LOL. How are the knees healing? I think you are brave to get a personal trainer... I've heard they can be brutal. Maybe that is the only way I'll ever get the backbone to get in shape; with someone standing behind me cracking a whip... Don't know about swimming. I've never been one to just swim laps, but I like to splash :-)

Sherri - LOL - the picture was a diversion from my real intent - trying to goad myself into heaving my lazyass butt off the chair and trotting off to the gym... it worked though.

I see the weatherperson has suggested that San Francisco and area can expect RAIN until further notice, likely to mid-April. :-)

I think that the weatherperson should take a long walk off a short pier... I can't bear to hear it :-(

My knees are healing well...no cane and two weeks of therapy left. As for the personal trainer...the one I will be using comes well recomended...I will also need to know that I am expected to show up......and that when I am there I will not do something stupid and injure myself....been there, done that :)
