This tuesday happens to be my birthday, and I hope my tail end isn't doing that. I haven't dared to check. I'll look tomorrow.

Its my birthday April 10th.
Monday.
I woke up all depressed about being 45 years old but it went away after a dinner with my folks and a crap load of Pizza and ice cream. My mom asked me to sing
"Enie meanie disalleanie ooh ah ah marinee.....etc."
She laughed and said "how do you remember all that..Thats so funny".
Its been a good birthday.
I got to go to Butte Montana to hear my daughter sing the blues in a local lounge. Sweet.
Spent some time with my children and they blessed my little socks off.
But anyway, getting old is sort of like your picture.
Thats what it made ME think of.

Becky, you make me laugh :-) I still know the words to that song,(eenie meeny disaleenie ooo aaah ah maleeny) and I'm pushing 50 this year (talk about weird!!) I think getting old isn't bad, because it has brought with it the worst and best times in my life. Sure, today as I was walking to the car in the rain, I realized as I thought of my own dear Mom that I now wear "Mom" pants like she once did. Then I wondered, "Do my children think less of me because I look like a mom?" Of course they don't. They love me like I love my Mom, just the way I am. Wrinkles, silver hair, extra poundage... you name it. And that felt good.

Oh, and Happy Birthday! :-)

That song you talked about. Do you what it was called or what it even means? My mom learned it at the Air Base in Germany and used to jump rope to it. She taught me and although I know it I can't even begin to spell it. But it is fun to sing.

Kristina, that "song" means exactly ... nothing! Ha ha - it is just a jump rope song, or hand-clapping song kids like to say when playing - and though meaningless more or less, provides good fun whilst playing to gibberish! Every kid should know it :)
