Here I am, on a runaway Monday... life in the fast lane.

I would so rather be at the beach -
listening to the soupy foam as it glides up across the sand,
hearing the mewing cries of the gulls as they mill about above the surf...
closing my eyes to the bright hazy sunlight
and drifting...

That is an awesome ocean picture! I'm with you and may I add hearing the climactic crash followed by the lull of the rolling waves. *sigh*

The Beach would be nice.

Heaven on Earth is what you have described here :-) That's what I love so about crashing waves, the sense of absolute tranquility they bring focusing everything back to the glorious simplicity and joy at being alive, and there to witness such wonder.

What a rush! That first pic makes me want to grab hold tight to something and hang on!

Sar - You describe it so well - as if you know it personally :-)

:P Fuzzbox: There is no nicer place.

Autumn: It is as you say - being at the beach allows one to experience the simple pleasure of just being alive, easily pushing away all other intrusions.

Tom & Icy - Life has a way of rushing past in a blur... not a rush I like to deal with every day... Icy can you hold on with your paws?

Monika - your beaches in Iceland are superb :-)

Annonymous - umm, dessert would be lovely. I enjoyed yesterday's luncheon very much. Meet me at the water's edge Sweetie :-)
