We got a heavy frost today too. I biked home from work, avoiding frozen puddles and watching the grey clouds over the lake. Winter at last!

Bbrrrrrrr!
Never did get my head around Fahrenheit, but I know this much, that's cold. Good thing you've got those long johns, looks like you're going to need them. Frosty here the last couple of mornings too, but it warms up during the morning. I hear people complain of how cold it is, but to me, this is a 'warm' winter.

Happy Tuesday, when you get that far, XO

26ºF is about -4ºC. Yep, that's cold alright. We are still at between 13º-15ºC/55º-60ºF here, but it feels colder out of the sun. And is definitely colder than other years. It's upside down in a lot of places across the world this year. Is that a normal temp for you? Are you very far north in Cal?

Meg - how well you put it... LOL numb pain! This morning my hands were numb after wrestling with the steering wheel on the way to work.. brrrrr!

Jeanne - you BIKED home?? Man alive you Swedes are hearty folk
:-D

Jillie - Well, I know you brought your own long johns to stay sort of warm... must be a difficult adjustment after beautiful sunny WARM so cal...

Autumn, Okay, it's midnight in London, and I can see that you are still awake. Back to those old habits (wink) burning the midnight oil :-) How cold is "frosty" in London? HUGS xo

Hi Miz B - does it ever freeze over there in Spain? I heard that Jackson Browne lives there, and he makes it sound so romantic in his songs. Any word on selling that cute hut of yours?

Mile Stones - I'm actually (looking at it vertically) roughly mid state - a bit to the north of that. I live in a small microclimate where the winter temps hover around 32 F for weeks at a time. Today it was a warm 25 F... nippy. But at least we have some beautiful sunshine!

Sherri - LOL after reading some of your past driving (or not driving HA HA)-in-snow adventures I guess you could be dubbed "Snow Queen" :-D

I have no idea, what the temperatures have been to tell you the truth, but enough to make me wear a hat. :-D

How's the prepping going? I keep thinking about you doing Christmas on the day before you set of on hols - you must be rushed off your feet before and after work getting ready for it all!
Going to miss you dreadfully over that week (no access right?), finally I'll be able to run on US time again, staying up all night LOL

Hugs, x

Oooh a frosty maze! Frosty it has been here too. I was a bit worried about cycling on the roads this morning for that reason..

Hey I heard they had snow in San Diego Terry...are you still cold? Can you believe that I come ALL the way to WI and there is no snow? Have a good day...how many more days until you leave?

I love the way frost coats my valley. It makes every thing look edible.

Your photo has made me so homesick I can't stand it. I'm in some northern California town, and won't be home to Winter till after Christmas!

waaaaaaaaaa

Minka - hot chocolate, or hot coffee, with delicious Icelandic bread straight from the bakery... :-)and a lopapesa.

Ha ha Autumn - I SHOULD be rushing, but I've gotten to the horrible procrastination (digging in of heels here) stage of sitting in a trance in the livingroom, unable to go forth into the maw of the shopping frenzy... I'll never get it finished.

Don't know - most likely won't have access to the computer whilst away. Bummer. I'll take pics though :-) It will be extremely odd not be be online. Say - congrats on your switching of blogs... not much difference is there? XOXO

Fred (LOL)What? You too are a cycling fool? What possesses a body to put themselves out there in the frost? Crazy bikers...

Hi Leppy (short for Leprechaun) Yes, thanks, it is a teensy bit warmer maybe a whole 1/2 a degree :-D Rain is coming though, so it may warm up :-)

Jillie... I heard WI is going to be getting colder starting tomorrow. Say, tomorrow is that big game! Have fun and I hope you win :-D I leave for the big trip to the great north west on Christmas Day. Hmmm I don't like to count the days til Christmas ... but I believe it is 5. AuuugghhhH!!!!

Catnapping - I'm delighted that you stopped by my place. Thanks! And while there isn't much snow here in CA, the frost is a sure sign of Winter here. Happy waiting til after Christmas til your move is finally upon you. The best of luck to you then. :-)
