That really is an amazing photo. And you actually know the person who captured this moment? I need some lessons from him. :)

About 15 years ago we were in a park looking at stone carvings, "hällristningar", when an entire flock of canada geese lifted and flew by and over us, so close we could probably have touched them if we'd stretched. It was one of the most powerful experiences I've had. So for me this picture sounds and feels as much as it looks.

Morning Terry,

Missed seeing this last Friday -
what a wonderful picture.

I have a friend who is big time heavy into photography (really she should do it for a living, I am always telling her to enter contest cause I truly thing she could win a ton - course I probably am biased) anyway, and mostly what she photographs is birds. What truly good photographers can capture - like your pic here - simply amaze me. Its like looking at something that we've all probably seen before and have taken for granted....

Maybe one day I'll post some of her pics (with permission of course) just for you :)

Happy Monday Girl,

Meg

Oh how pretty! My mom has the Canadian Geese in her back yard by the hundreds at times during migration. She has a small river/damn in her back yard. It's really something to see all of them.

Trundling Grunt - I'm honored to see you grace my humble place. Thank you for your kind words - hope you'll be back soon.

OD: You would love these folks who take these pictures - I thought pictures were just point and shoot, but George Willis has all kinds of great photo stuff with which to capture the beauty his sharp eyes see....

Thanks Autumn - as you have seen, they are awesome. Anne and George have just begun to sell their amazing pictures, and any single one of them would grace a home or office with beauty.

Ah yes, snail mail... what ever would we do without it :-D?

Mo'a - We saw snow geese out by the president's home in the grassy fields in Iceland. So lovely.

Thanks Angela - hope all is well with you down thar....

Thanks Galen - you do have such nice things to say :-)

Jeanne - I know that experience of hearing them fly - the powerful muscles of their wings as they beat the air make one gasp in wonder. They are amazing in flight.

Hi MS - Meg :-) Love it when you stop by. I wish you a wondeful rest of the week - and I do sincerely enjoy your poetry. I'll be back over soon.

Keshi - I've missed you much. Hugs!!!!!!!!xo I'm glad you can see my blog again. :-)

Anne - Ah - the source of my beauty... thank you so much for the pictures you send me. They are just more stunning every time... your George is on his way to becoming famous I just know it. His eye for detail, his amazing capture of birds in motion enthrall all who see his works.

Well Tom, you've certainly got the inside story LOL!~ There is no such thing as a goose without the s*it :-)

Hey Jodes - how are you? Haven't made it by today - I've been a bit snotty lately - LOL

Dear Meg - I'm a sucker for beautiful pictures - (betcha didn't know) LOL I'm amazed at how people manage to capture such things at the click of a finger. I need to move forward and get some of that specialized equipment and learn how to do it for myself. I adore beauty. I would love it if you posted some of your friend's pictures - I'll be waiting.

Happy Tuesday Autumn :-)

Hi J - yes, he absolutely IS a fabulous photographer. He makes it look so easy, and his wife eggs him on until they get just the perfect shots.

Jillie: I'd be out there at your Mom's with my binocs - just wasting the entire day away watching those birds. I bet there are a lot more than just geese enjoying that idyllic place behind her home.

Jodes - HA HA HA LOL - wise? Wheeee, Jodes made a funny today!!
(it's very difficult to feel wise whilst you have a green river flowing straight out of your brain..)

Hey Sal - always a pleasure when the biker drops by :-)
