Right now the road is curved - obscured. I know (sort of) where I want to end up... but not really. This road is one that has possible forks up ahead... more choices than I know what to do with. But as he said to me earlier - it is OUR journey - we are walking it together.

That's a leprechaun trail. I'm sure of it!! :D
Good luck in what ever route you follow with the decisions ahead :)
It's not about whether you finally get to where you want to go (that might change anyway), it's about the journey along the way, and one thing that is certain is that you aren't enjoying parts of the journey at the moment, so yes, time most definitely to head in a different direction. And you have company, through it all, you can't lose. Best of luck, xo
You will miss this kind of trees if you come to Iceland. This is at least my problem with this country. I love the picture! It makes me homesick.
makes me think of Little Red Riding Hood...lol :)
it's a little creepy to walk alone through it...or maybe i'm just a chicken :P
okay, metaphorically, walking together along a journey, helping each other discover directions, according to a compass or not... *smile*
i like the imagery :)
whatever it takes, make it happen. hugs
each person has their own perceptions
about what they think life is...
and each person's perception differs slightly from the next person,
but everyone is right.
i love the photo.
the illuminated green grass!
how amusing in the dark forest.
how do the trees know
to grow so straight like that?
how come trees never worry?
xo
It's the memories that come from the journey that make it rewarding!
xoxo
What an incredible image...I don't think I've ever seen one like it before, or felt such an affect maybe. This is like a wonderful fantasy. Makes me feel wistful. I love it. :)
Gareth: Thanks. Do they have trees like that in Ireland - I didn't see any when I was there...? I wonder how you know it is that sort of trail... maybe the gorgeous green? I suppose it takes one to know one. :-D
Autumn, your insight never ceases to amaze me. Yes, it is the journey - and how extremely fortunate am I to have my partner grasping my hand in his along the way.
SOe - Guten Tag! Ich spreche keine deutsch.
What are you doing in Iceland? Wo sind sie? I thank you for your greetings. You should make the trip up to Egilsstaðir where you will see trees growing astoundingly tall in an amazing forest. There are trees of many kinds, imported from a large variety of countries. It was lovely. Iceland does have trees - aber not in many places.
Magdeline-Sophie: It's only creepy because can't see & hear the carcaphony of birds singing from their hidden perches, nor smell the lovely scent of crushed grass as you trudge up the road, or the piney breeze wafting up your nose - THAT is the only problem with pictures.
Our only compass is our desire to be happy, autonymous, and to have a decent roof over our heads in a place we can thrive. Lots of veiled footpaths still ahead - but at least we have begun the walk.
Jodes - you are a little sunshine all by yourself! I dub thee Miss Blithe. xo
Lisa - Trees are the ultimate calm creation. They are rooted, green, alive, beautiful, unadorned... they don't have the capacity to worry. Hence I love them so.
Ah Jillie - you provide a great perspective - looking back after the journey has been completed! How fun is that? Wonderful!
Oliviah - so nice to see you surface. I get the same feeling when I see your creations... unlike any I see anywhere else. Fantasy, beauty, colors... I am so happy to see you stopping by :-D
I live, work and study in Reykjavik since 10 months. I know that they have trees here. The forrests in the east of Iceland are okay - but I need one which do not end after a walk of 30 minutes ;).
The photo is awesome and so are your comments.
java..trees don't worry cause they know how to branch out..hahahahaha!
a walk thru the woods--so do we travel the beaten path or the path least traveled, either way together WE are fine.
you can always do a bit of both Bjarni! you guys are so lucky to have each other to travel with, such sweet companions...not everyone is as lucky! enjoy that! for that is a special journey unto itself!
hey Terry...
ruffle fuffle...
TC, a tree joke!
i love tree jokes!
heres one...
trees dont worry because:
they LEAVE everything up to
mother nature!
ha!
woo hoo, my first joke ever!!
trees dont worry because:
their BARK is better than
their bite...
(oooh i like this!)
(because their needles
are always clean?)
okay, cut that one....
(because they're not that SAPPY...)
because they're a shade taller...
because they're above all that...
because MOSS likely,
they're just too busy
being trees....
Terry rules the Universe!!
thank you thank you thank you
for all your kindness today!
(i wrote you a small novel
over at lisa town...!)
you are such an angel for taking
all that time to go hear the boys
today! and Grandma brought her
sweet little guy Hunter too!
man he must be such a good boy!
anyway i gushed over at the
nuthouse there, so i wont repeat
myself (any more than i usually do!!) thank you!!!! you rule!
xoxoxoxo
wow, i'm just thinking this could be one of those surprise days where i take your comments up to 100, just all spontaneous-like, ya know?
i mean, hey, we're already up to what, 23? so we only have about
a KABILLION to go!
ha!!
but i could do it...!
i really could!
(if i was nuts,
which i very well might be...)
even if i wasnt,
i could single handedly
with no help from anyone
out there in the audience,
reach 100 comments...
i could!!!
i could have my very own one sided conversation,
like i often do anyway,
and just go bananas,
like freeform
stream of waaaahooooo!
talk and blather and
sail away here on a
peaceful saturday evening....
yup, i could do it...
No, YOU rule. I want you to know, there was a lady there who made B sign her poster of the B Quintet guys... and she was the librarian who hired them...she said it was for herself... I told her that poster would be worth a kabillion in about 20 years, when your boy was WORLD FAMOUS... :-D
No need to be onesided LOL... I'm here.
HI!!
sorry, i went away for a bit!
a librarian got that concert
going? wow, thats odd!
hey there was a poster?
i collect posters!
well, i collect posters
of my kid's gigs..
thats so cool.
haha a kabillion years.
we should use that new word
as much as is humanly possible!
i've personally used a shmillion.
and of course, gazillion...
Terry, that was such a great thing you did for Lisa! You really are a very kind and careing person. I can feel her excitement and hear her heart pounding all the way in Michigan.
Just think, someday you will be able to say that you saw Brian as a young unknown, and that you know his talented, crazy, and loving mother!
Have a great week-end! G
Galen brings up a good point, Ms Terry!
that was a very kind and caring thing to do and it really did make my day! i kept thinking, oh Terry's getting ready to go hear the concert, and, oh cool, the boys are getting set up to play and then thinking oh, they must be playing now, and then thinking, i hope they're all talking and visiting and hugging now! it really made the distance feel a lot closer, all because of YOU! and it was a truly thoughtful kindness on your part to make that trip out!
so thank you again for brightening up my world, and believe me, my kid probably felt very special to have such a wonderful visitor come out to see him and the boys....he is really touched by stuff like that!
xoxo
We just love that scene!
Just reminded me, the trees look like one of those things on the side of a package that they scan to get the price.
Just make sure you don't go the wrong way at the fork.
??is there a WRONG WAY?? in this beautiful place
JJ - that poster was a winner! I jealous - she got all the guys to sign it!
Galen - I did actually think I wanted a poster too, because that kid is going places. I DO want proof that "I knew him way back when"... when he is a huge jazz king! I'm a hopeless groupie you know.
Actonbell - am finding change as we speak! Forging ahead is the most scary, "just kidding, want-to-turn-back" kind of feeling! Thank you for your wellwishes.
JJ - you know, the pleasure truly was all mine! Those boys put on a fabulous show - with Brian the unchallenged ringleader - LOL. Plus, it was FREE! Where can you find such a deal?
Tom and Icy - I agree - when I was scrolling down, I thought my screen was stuck on those lines...! Looks like a fancy bar code - yes, NATURE's own barcode
:-D
Doug - spoken like a beagle. (Although with your nose to the ground, you could easily miss if you don't look up...)
Annonymous - no wrong way as long as you are beside me.
A little late maybe, and I'm not up to speed on all the insider chat. BUT....I love this picture. It has such power and originality. Big congratulations for it.
Icarus - chatter is chatter. Thank you so much for stopping by. I have to confess I don't always post my own pictures - I wish I did but I lack the camera equipment to produce such wonders. I try to post the artist whenever I know it, but many of these pics are unsigned. When I see a scene that touches my strings, then you see it here. I know you, a professional and a perfectionist can appreciate scenes of beauty. Hope all is well with you.
