This plucky canary has no qualms about doing what needs to be done in order to quench his thirst. Going for the gusto, hanging by a toe - not even acknowledging the risk. We could all learn from him.

Good Morning TERRY--hope this finds you bright and chipper this fine Tuesday--NO STRESS TUESDAY--in honor of our little feathered friend a quote--Only when the last tree has died and the last river and been poisoned and the last fish has been caught WILL WE realize that we can not eat money--peace/blessings/prosperity :-)

Bjarni, I have the most vivid photograph of a plaque with that quote upon it, taken at the Singapore Zoological Gardens, tropical plants and flowers adorning it - good enough to frame it looks.
Hope things are going well in Florida. You must be having the best weather of all of us.

JJ - isn't that the way we all should live? Unaware -uncaring in fact... what does another opinion mean? Life is truly an independent experience. Certainly, we touch and are touched by others' experiences, but ultimately, we life our own lives all by ourselves. As Jackson Browne said, "in the end there is one dance you'll do alone"

Bjarni - thank you. I have to say I believe you and I already realize the truth of your quote...it is just the searching for the solution which consumes us. I am already well aware of the fact that we cannot eat money. That is why I am casting about looking for a way of sustainment, other than my corporate (but paying) job.

Jodes - Happy Tuesday! Mondays are always slammed. Ever figure out why? Your little "boy boy" post made my day. So cute - out of the mouths of babes - how wonderful the fresh perspective of youth is for us "elders" - LOL

Autumn - I'm sure Bjarni would be thrilled to know your quote is up close and personal...he has sent me many special quotes, including one that says "My feet may go, but my heart stays at home"...

:P Fuzzbox - Hey - birds DO know how to have a good time... ;-D

Magdalene-Sophie - coming from an artiste/poetess as yourself is quite a compliment. Thank you.

Sal - glad to see you taking risks - I'm about to embark. Congrats on the new scoot!

Galen - you must tell me the innovative way you would turn on the faucett with a finchy beak, no hands, and claws for feet... nice ambition though... LOL

Icarus - Canaries have a great life - both sexes do, as the males feel they are superior due to their exclusive singing capabilities... whilst the females lay the eggs, raise the young, listen to the males make noise (cough) I mean sing all day...
HA HA - I don't really mean that. Canaries have the most beautiful songs about. The females are truly devoted - loving the male in spite of anything he does. It is a lovely match. They are truly into each other.

thanks Lisa - tried a dozen times to post. I think Blogger won't let you have guests anymore until you switch. BOO HOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO I want to visit!!!

Hugs xo

i know, those f---ers are getting on my nerves now...i tried to acess some basic stuff on my settings and they keep pushing google account in my face before i can do anything...bullies! they remind me of Starbucks, funny you should have mentioned them yesterday! i always thought the way they would stuff one of their stores right next to the competition was just bully like and in your face and unoriginal...i think there are probably enough starbucks stores now in the world...maybe they can let the little guy breathe for a second...

I have a pet Cannary who is braver than my cat.....they are great friends.
I love this photo and Bjarni's quote...there must be a way to sustain oneself, without putting all around us on the brink of extinction.
We cannot eat money, but sadly most need money to eat.

JJ - I'm sorry, but I love Starbucks... mocha. I love the little guy too - but dang - the taste says it all.

Mo'a - canaries make the world just a little bit brighter :-D. Yes, Bjarni's quote is well said.

I did get your email - thought I responded! I thank you for your translation - and I'm sorry it was a blithering waste of time! Had I known it was such a silly letter I would have ignored it. But, since it was in Icelandic, I didn't know ;-D I appreciate your efforts Mo'a - you were kind to indulge my request.

Bjarni - yes, and a very happy hump day to you too :-D xoxo

no need to apologize for loving Starbucks...! i have a feeling you're not the only one! my Sarah also has a some caramel something latte thingy that she loves from there and wouldn't have it anywhere else...! me, i'm 100% hooked on my kensington market coffee guy...and yes, i know what you mean about tasting good...i can taste the good taste, humanity AND integrity in his fair trade organic coffee...not to mention he roasts it himself at least 3 times a week...sorry, i just love it! (now i'm apologizing!)

sooo, hump day is today, Bjarni?
arent you kids celebrating it tomorrow instead? ha!
