Leaving lovely Sorrento tomorrow a.m.. We hiked to the top of a two-town killing volcano this a.m. (Mt Vesuvius) and then tramped around Pompei this afternoon. I have wanted to see that place since I was in the 7th grade and read about it. Simply incredible. Ankle is still very fat. But I brought an Ace bandage from home (an omen?) and with the immediately applied ice and bandage, I know the ankle is very much better than it could have been...
Only my luck could be so amazing... today I ran into my BOSS as I was leaning up against the wall here in the early morning tranquillity of Sorrento... all of a sudden I heard "Terry"? It was indeed him and his wife ' . No way! OH SO WEIRD! Italy isn't exactly a small place, and who the heck thought anyone else would be up that early in the morning...AUUUGGHHHHHHH!!!!! It was my nightmare come true!!!
Wish us luck as we try to get home with the most trying travel schedule one could ever imagine... maybe I will miss a few connections and just not make it home... Do need to find a
laundromat soon though :-)....

Good luck with your return! I look forward to more stories of your journey. Travel safe!
The frozen, captured landscape of Vesuvius is unsettling, just as the surrounding area is so beautiful and tranquil.
hey sweetie!
you mean you havent done any laundry
since you left????
ha!!
good for you!
have fun, keep chillin that ankle,
cant believe you ran into your boss
(actually yes i can!)
enjoy the sights.....
just make sure he's not in them anymore!
we miss you!!! xoxox
You should of asked your boss for the day off when you get back and pointed to your ankle.
Safe travels back and SO looking forward to pictures. Italy is on my to do list FOR SURE!
Are you quite sure he hasn't implanted a micro-chip in you somewhere?
We're off to Gotland tomorrow. "See" you later.
And by the way, your blog is infested, or haunted, or something. There's this funny winged thing that's taken over.
LOL! your nightmare come true :P noOoOo~...you need to make it home o that i can read your posts :)
Sounds like quite the adventure you are having there my friend! Live it up, boss run-ins or no! Ha, ha, haaa! Take it from me, seeing that I have quite a few of these "run-in" twilight zonish stories under my belt, Europe and its cities can be too small for comfort at times! Glad to hear you are having fun in spite of the ankle (which I hope heals soon!)...
Besos...
Can't believe you ran into your boss, the stuff of movies. :-D
Thanks for the postcard, Terry, came today. Picture on the front is absolutely stunning and to think you have actually been there in person, you're a lucky, lucky duckie. Minus the foot of course, but then who wants perfect. :-)
Have a safe trip home!
i can't begin to imagine what it would be like to run into your boss while on vacation. ESPECIALLY a vacation in Italy, for cryin' out loud! ah well -- perhaps he'll have extra sympathy for you once you get back to work, after having a first hand look at the magical country you've been spending your time in! ; )
SO glad your ankle is better, sweet Terry -- hope the trip home goes well, too! xox
