Okay, this is where you'll find me
after work:
a stroll in the shade,
relief from the heat,
escape from the cruel reality
of making a living...
ahhhhhh.
Peace at last :-D

I love the Jack Handy quote.

Kyahgirl - yes, please come and bring the pup. Looks like a place for wild life :-D

Thanks Galen - love your way with words :-)

Neva - I love panini - you know, sandwiches. Go ahead and put in the sardines on the side as well - you can give them to me.

Toby - you know, I always post places I'd rather be. It is a cheap way of escapism.

... and Jack Handy really knew how to say it right.

Oh no, again such a nice picture of trees! I feel homesick! But I tried my best. Last friday I planted with some colleagues 5000 (!) trees at Iceland.

That is so beautiful...I wish I was there. But in the meantime...YOU'RE IT!

Oh I need a nice place to escape to and this fits the bill nicely...got any more sandwiches?

Terry I'm just catching up on all that I've missed since your return - your cramped travels in the train ride, running into your boss (EEEEEK), the bast^$#@* who broke into your truck. That is just terrible.

Here's to a turn of luck and something good happening instead.

Welcome back and nice to see you in fine posting form.

tc - I know cats have an affinity for seeing things which most other eyes miss :-) Your observation is not surprising.

Palona: A blog with an irrisistable name such as yours calls for a visit :-) You have lovely pictures and haikus to match.

HA! Mona - LOL... turned into? I was born one :-D Welcome and thank you for dropping by. Your blog is very interesting and beautiful as well.

J - but you are in a place of beauty yourself... Ahh, get away from the city streets and retreat to the beach for some peace. I love that you moved to SM ;-D

Keshi - wouldn't it be a dream to live out away from cars, noise, traffic and city conjestion? I'm not much of a shopper, and could certainly do without all those stores and stuff...

Soe - Isn't it ironic - my Love and I were discussing only today how we would love to start our own tree farm in Iceland... we did visit several of the "planted" forests about the country, and they are lovely indeed. You did great - wow - 5000 is a lot of trees!! Iceland is beautiful without trees as well though.

Weatherchazer - *sigh* What's a Monday without a tag, yes? I am prone to procrastination, but I may yet get around to answering this tag before souting back "NOT IT", "NOT IT"!!

G - there are a few egg salad and olive panini over here - *makes room on the blanket* sit down and listen to the birds, unseen in the forest depths... What a nice comment to put up. Thank you.
(Fixed my poor truckee window today to the tune of a few hundred bucks... ouch. But having the truck whole again feels better).

Perhaps we can plan some trees together the next time you will come to Iceland ;)

Welcome back Ms. A - guess we're lucky you did come back!

SOe - That sounds like the best idea I've heard yet about Island... I'll be in touch!! (It will be a little while before I can save enough Krona to come for a visit though after spending everything on my recent trip to Italy.)
