Deep Purple Dream....

Here is my beloved Malibu, near the canyon where I grew up.

Endlessly rolling
Waves crash, lifting foamy spray
Wheeling gulls above

I sincerely hope, that I am never forced to live to far from the sea.

It's difficult to breath when there isn't salt in the air! Most beautiful!

Is Wyoming close enough to the ocean for you? :) We do get gulls for some reason in the summer. I always thought they were funny way out here with no ocean.

The ocean is so calming and beautiful.
I've never been a fan of swimming or body surfing in the ocean. I LOVE walking along the shore as the waves roll over my feet and up to my knees.
Collecting shells and watching little crabs scurrying about.... Ahhhh, what fun!

Keshi - Well said. Yes and the water of life.

Annonymous - The salt air at the beach makes my soul soar. (and it doesn't affect my sodium intake either :)

Autumn - Some people have never seen or enjoyed that special thrill the sea lends with its presence. I feel so fortunate to know it like I do.

Nessa - The salty water and air, sounds and coastal terrain inspires endless feelings, words, thoughts, and awakens the senses.

Lime - Wouldn't it be great to live on the beach? Or on a cliff house, or along a rocky cove... and never have to leave? ~sigh~

Sal - I think the gulls are there for the GREAT SALT LAKE in the next state over... they are quite adaptable, and can fly great distances. You know, I think if you have a town dump, you'll find gulls freeloading there too. Not sayin Wyoming is a dump though!! It IS a bit of a long drive to the beach though...

SOe - Better yet: imagine walking through the beautiful green & gold forest, until you suddenly see the sparkle of the azure sea through the trees... two joys in one.

JJ: You have a looooonngg way to go before you see the sea. Don't you find it hard to breath?

Jamie Dawn: I find I don't really get in the water a whole lot as I did when I was a kid, but I do love every single aspect of being there. (love the birds, shells, wind, crabs, sand, smell, feel, sights - )man, just beam me over Scotty!

I'm with you - I just love the ocean. Our little family vacations there are wrapped in such a feeling of serene exhileration.
