ebezp - What on earth does ebezp stand for - it is such a pain to type~!!!!]]]Thanks for dropping in though hope Greece was nice. My Sis lives not far from there (Albania) so I have an inkling.
Actonbell - oh yes, you got it. If only everyone could understand like you do...
Annonymous: no I beg your pardon. I didn't paint the picture, but have the utmost regard for he/she that did. I was unable to locate the artist. Whoever it was, truly appreciated the gift of the sea - I revel in that gift whenever I am able to preceive it. I truly admire folks with the gift of transforming one scene to a painting or drawing. That is not my own gift. :(
Keshi - yes, although much more messy in real life's theater. I prefer the drama of nature versus my own life :)
Nessa - I love the ocean all year round. I just can't have it! I agree though, the stormy and turbulent seasons are the best.
Mo'a - not too terribly far off... I believe it was from Ireland. I pulled it off an Irish site long about 1994ish after my trip to Port Marnock, where I fell in love with the first country I'd ever seen outside of my own. (Of course, that was BEFORE I laid eyes upon Island)
Minka - you know, there doesn't even have to be a safe harbor - you can just sit or stand on the briny lava rocks and let the storm rage about you. I suppose a good rain hat is in order though...
Tom and Icy - after that monumental tirade over at your place, no wonder you are gasping!
Ariel - salt.
Doug - nice turn of the thoughts. Because the storms on the inside rarely have such beauty within grasp.
What a great dramatic picture that is. It reminds me of a picture my mom use to have hanging in our living room as a kid. It was a stormy sea with two men in a small boat. I always loved that picture. I wonder what ever happened to it? Hmmmmm...I think I'm going to have to give her a call and find out.
Jillie - my parents had some cool pictures too - and I also wonder what happened to them! Did you find yours?
Logo - Pictures are so great. They allow you to observe, and yet draw your very own thoughts. Of course, they are mere images of something more incredible... but I'll take what I can get. You would love Iceland - the scenery there is too beautiful to be true.
TLP - Why thanks. I've had it a long time... and I look at it frequently. ~again, places I'd rather be ~ ~sigh~
TC - for such a quiet, introspective guy, your avatar just leads everyone down the wrong path. I can almost just see the canary feathers peeking out of your mouth... I never forget that you are a cat.

Lovely pic!
Keshi.
That's why I love the ocean in the Fall and Winter.
Looks like Home!!!
"tossed" is a good word for this picture!
I love the water, as long as there is a safe habor, I don't mind playing with the waves !
It is a beautiful picture. A sensory overload. I'm gasping.
Wow, that's real green water. I wonder what it tastes like.
Is there anything more beautiful than a storm? And why don't we remember that when it blows on the inside?

Gorgeous painting, I've seen a day like that and it shifts your perspective so beautifullly and powerfully.
