squack, squack, SQUACK SQUACK! squaaack.
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY...!!!!
(buck buck buck buck...)
thank god you're oot and aboot!
so, nevermind your finger,
how's the medication serving you?
woo hoo! xoxo
oh for Pete's sake,
i just read what you wrote
on the previous post
about waiting 12 extra hours
for surgery....heck, its like flying,
its a miracle if your flight EVER
takes off on time...
but thankfully you are in
recovery mode....
if you can, get some fresh ginger
maybe hannah can get it cuz i'm
about 110% sure you didnt get it
along with the arnica and hypericum!
(i'll spare you the jewish guilt trip,
oh actually, no i wont!!)
anyhoo, even to smell the ginger
might settle you down a bit...
or mint, peppermint tea...
heck, maybe darn Gravol might work!
again use your power of visualization
to help speed this stuff out of your body...
envision the toxic effects of the anaethesia
swiftly exiting your body and see yourself
as free of it and able to keep food down...
i'll do a bit of long distance...you should be
better today....
xoxo
That is horrible of them to D R A G your wait out for SO LONG!!!!! I would have been ranting and raving (clucking up a storm) before I ever got to the surgery. I guess they sort of have you captive when you're wearing their hospital garb, not too likely to run away wearing those flimsy open gowns. Well, at least it's all done now. Was the surgeon able to reattach the nerves? Hope your tummy feels better soon. :D
Cluck yea baby! Did you cross the road yet?
cluck CLUCK and sorry to see the delays you faced!!! Damn them. Feel better soon. XOX
HOLY CRAP!!! 12 HOURS??? That is so wrong. And to make you fast, I would have had a killer headache for sure. Sorry your meds are not working for you. Did you call your Dr. to see if there is something else you can take? You should also ask your surgeon about an anti-inflammatory as well, like Celebrex. That will help reduce some of the pain. It's made a HUGE difference with my pain level. I hobble on up to your place RIGHT now with wine in tow. Hopefully there will still be some left for you by the time I get there...
I'll even bring the bed warmers ;o)
WOOF!
xoxo
You are doing wonderful. Keep it up!
Well, I'm glad you're on the last haul now. Hope you got my mail.
Chickie says she doesn't squawk... but who cluck who am I to say?...
JJ - walked down to the produce store after losing my cookies yet one more time this a.m.. I like ginger, so I cut some fresh stuff upand just sucked on it. It's working so far. ~sigh~ better than the coffee I was hopefully sipping on. Thanks hon.
Kelly - tummy feels like those turbulent storms you've been dealing with up north...bleah. Worjing on that. Great news is, the nerve is intact - just extremely traumatized, and should regenerate in about 3 or 4 months. So numb and funnybone nerve pains until then...fingers crossed!
SoCal Sal - crossed the road and took off with a roar on the other side :) cluck cluck wanna play chicken?
G - You of all folks must know the luck of the draw with hospitals. I know a finger laceration isn't on the top of the crash cart list, but it does take one's pride down a notch to end up being the very last one to go into the operatory...~sigh. xo
BWARK BWARK!! You won't remember a thing later :) Glad it's all over!
Hope all is all right by now
Play chicken? … Are you pulling my leg? *chortle*
You better tell that dumb cluck crow you crossed, he’s still looking for you!
ha! ginger will make you right again.
jeez, whats in that anaesthesia?
if you can pour some boiling water
over it and make some tea,
it'll help everything...when you
can keep it down...
its also has anti inflammatory
properties probably anti fungal
and also helps with nausea...
this is your chicken on drugs...
Jillie- LOL I LOVE YOUR BEDWARMERS :) They fix everything. I did have a headache actually, but they didn't give me anything but zantec or some such thing for my nervous stomach...(ah, a sip of water). I was not even hungry after the surgery, and just came home and bit the hay. The list of pain meds just all turns my stomach, with the exception of Bayer Asprin - my drug of choice :) OH, and did you say you have a glass of wine for me? ahhhhh. Gooooood
Ariel - I'm so happy to have a buddy in Hungary. It makes me feel special. You have a lot of buddies here in the US, and when you come to California to visit the dawg, you shall stay here with me also. :)
Jeanne - Thanks indeed for your mail. I would like some more.:)
Anon: thank goodness for wiped out memories! Not good to remember OR experiences, that's for sure!
Tom and Icy - all is as it should be. I'm home. There's no place like home even if the walls are laying about the yard, eh?
SoCal Sal: You walk on thin ground my biker friend... who you callin a dumb cluck crow??
JJ - bother. numb is wearing off - time for drugs. Soda crackers, ginger tea and pills for dinner.oh joy. Will you send down some of your pumpkin soup please?
awww! actually, sounds like
a great dinner...
crackers ginger tea and pills!
yummy!
hang in, tomorrow
will bring your appetite back...
you probably need something
to absorb the damn drugs anyway
so its a catch 22 here...
also i find a nice white rice like
basmati kind of soothing,
and even a chicken broth
to give you a bit of protein....
you should have some food.
how about Ensure drink?
i love the chocolate one on ice!
you'll be better tomorrow. i know it
just imagine the pumpkin soup!
also baked potato or squash,
would be nice and mild...
xo
I'm happy we have you back intact. Well, almost. I am a little confused with all these chiks, though, shouldn't they they be in the soup by now?
Get better soon! Turbulent tummy, aw!
I see it was a success.
Easy dear. The crow from last weeks caption it!
Terry, actually I do have some yummy chicken/turkey soup with rice and savoury broth. Too bad I can't beam it down to you. It would get you the protein and comfort (tastes much better than ensure too :D ). GREAT NEWS about the nerve being intact!!!!! May it settle down quickly and stop sending out it's screaming little currents of pain and distress.
jj - ensure? isn't that for OLD people? Well guess if the shoe fits, I'll have to wear it. Ate lovely turkey soup today to wash down the pills. I've decided my hand wrapping looks like a swimming dolphin. It is comical actually.
Ariel - the clucks were actually me after having been hypnotized by the doctors in the O.R. to cluck like a chicken.
Doug - we shall see after I remove the bandages....:D "Bride of Frankenstein"?
SoCal Sal - Didn't you know... I'm the chicken AND the crow - my alter ego you understand.
Kelly - thanks for the virtual soup :) Now, are you floating away up there?
