For the best raven picture (her own beautiful work) and story to go with, check out the amazing and talented Catnapping

I know you aren't all raven/crow fans (imagine that!) but this is worth seeing and reading.

Nessa - I love what you said :) I agree on so many levels. At last, someone sees it like it is...

Doug: I feel sublime... amazed...special if you will.. 4 times commenting. Lucky me. Catnapping is one of the best sites about, and I am delighted beyond telling that you, my most esteemed curmudgeon, would visit her. Thanks. She really IS good.

Red Mojo: What stutter? Beagles NEVER stutter, they just howl...

Red - trade in those doggies you babysit for a real hound, and you will understand...

Anonymous: Been where... with the raven, (all is well) or ... the repeat? Gulp. Sorry to say, you lay a hand on the beagle and you are dead meat.

We like ravens and crows and even those black birds all in a row on the telephone wire watching us so curiously.

omg. thank you thank you! i'm with you, i think ravens and crows are sacred birds.

i could spend a lifetime trying to paint them....one minute they're glossy black, and then the next, they iridesce with greens and blues...a magical bird. they take my breath away.

Ariel - You will enjoy the site of The Odd Neighbor. I've enjoyed her whimsical creations for quite a while.

Yellowdog Granny - It is a pleasure to have you here - and I thank you yet again for loaning Gaia to me for my website. She looks good anywhere ;)

Actonbell - off to work? Have I missed something? (Those salt mines get oppressive after a while, don't they?)

Tom & Icy - opposites attract :) Black and white do compliment each other. Black birds are very very cool.

Socal Sal - I caught that wink Sal.

Catnapping - You often capture them with your art - and I'm always amazed afresh.

Hey Keshi - How was Australia Day? I'm imagining your lovely summer weather down there, with longing...

i wonder why and how you relate to a crow so much.. :)

I am from Iceland so it comes naturally to me to love the Raven, Crow and all their relatives.
I love the photo...is that a real raven?...or a wonderful art piece?

Magdalene-Sophie - I think I was switched at birth from the crow's nest I was in.

Mo'a - I believe it is a real live bird - I found the picture on Stumble Upon. I can't help collecting pictures I find along the way - you should see all the crows and ravens I've stockpiled. When I get my camera back, I shall be hopefully creating some of my own.
