"You are not like other chickens, darling."

What did they accept the replacement warranty?

"I know dear, it's hard to believe, but that hussy deliberately wore the same outfit as me."

Is that a two headed chicken? Well, I mean, if they could make them with four legs, now that would be great. We love drumsticks better than necks.

Fred did not mind being called a chicken but he hated it when they called him, "four-eyes".

"I can't take any more chicken scratch....maybe if we wait long enough the kid over there will bring us a nice juicy potato bug."

Terry,

That picture reminds of Mom's house. I can imagine them waiting for a giant watermelon rind and then chasing each other all over the pen trying to grab it from each other. The one running never gets to eat any because she is to panicked and running every direction to escape the mobs of starving chickens. It is always the ones madly pecking off pieces that get any of it.

Oh Terry I cry when I see a broken camera!

"I told you dear there isn't another couple like us here!!"

We should stick together like birds of a feather.

"That shade of brown looks just dreadful on her!"

(Well, it's kinda of lame, but it's early Friday. I may still be asleep!)

Ariel: You sound wonderful darling, with your perfect zsa zsa intonation :)
I'm taking the poor camera in tomorrow - it has taken me this long to get over the shock and trauma.

Julee - Can chickens be hussys? Hmmm - only the hens. Roosters have spurs.

Icy - do you live near 3 Mile Island? I bet they grow two headed chickens out there...

Anonymous - where's the rooster? Let me at em...

Veda - welcome and thank you for visiting my blog. I'm with you on global warming: it needs to slow down.

HA HA Lime - If I saw a chicken with your look in it's eye, (tie dyed) I'd get the heck out of your way! :)

~GKW - but Gary, that's is exactly the nature of a chicken! All at once and one for all.

Galen - How can you tell?

SoCal Sal - I've never heard it put like that, but hey, why not...hurray - Friday Eve!!
Two heads? It's only a movie... it's only a movie... it's only a movie... :D

Red Mojo - Hey Mabel, outta my way - I'll have what SHE's having...

Lone Grey Squirrel: I know, chickens can be so callous.

Sal, thanks so much for your comment. I'm still smiling as I remember the chicken run, and all the chickens running around (after the one with the treat). If it was a huge and horribly juicy potato bug from the garden, it got et right away. But something bigger (say a mouse, or a watermelon rind) took a bit longer, and yes, watching them all run around chasing the poor frazzled one with the prize was hysterical. Greed never wins - if you are a chicken.

Actonbell - chickens don't mind being birdbrained... because they don't even grasp the concept. That's the beauty of chickens - they are simple and thus, delightful.

Simon - I love your take. That's the stuff. *haven't taken the camera in - will do it on Saturday when I have a bit of time.

Nessa - they ARE birds of a feather;in fact, more than one feather - they all look like clones LOL!

Sherri - so glad to see you. How's Hannah? A chick for every wing...

Tai - "She said it was red at the store, that dirty no good saleschick..." LOL
