Back in the diet saddle today after playing complete hooky for the past week... this diet has mostly protein things in it, and in odd combinations. For example, one of the four meals allotted during the day will consist turkey slices and hard boiled eggs. Another meal (you may have them in any order during the course of the day) pastrami slices, and broiled orange roughy. Next meal - roast beef slices, delicious shrimp and a bowl of baked beans. Last are peanuts and chicken. You may eat as much as you like per meal, but the one rule is that you must eat portions small enough so that you never feel "full". Strangely, the diet works. During the course of the 11 days of the diet, the ingredients change around, and your metabolism is changed too.

Today is a fruit only for 3 meals - plus a deli-meat sandwich for one meal. Ummmm, can't wait for that meal. Drinking a lot of water is also key to losing weight - although I'm not sure why. The beauty of this diet is that after 11 days, you get three days off the diet, at which time you may eat anything you like. The trick is to not go overboard and gain back any weight lost after all that hard work. *sigh* It is the never-ending story.

I don´t know that is more scarry to my - the first pic or the idea of the diet :-) Water is always good - IF it´s Icelandic water :-) It shall clean the body ... inside and outside

I hate the all veggie day. Veggies for breakfast is just hard!

Good luck! Although I have to put in a plug for the sensibility of Weight Watchers which I did one time (and am reconsidering as I don't think ten pounds will just magically melt away).

I'd rather lick cans than eat that stuff!

Hope the diet continues to work. I have been on many in my lifetime. They all worked well at the beginning but I gained the weight back later.

Lime - The ingredients aren't too bad, as you actually get to pick from a list of items before the diet is generated for you (online) so you have some of your best choices. It is the weird way they get mixed together that is odd. Yes, fruit days are good :)

SOe - Icelandic water is the best :) We have one company who sells it here - and I always feel good when I drink it (don't know if it is really any better than all the other water choices out there, but it is certainly mentally refreshing :))

Red Mojo - I can do the veggie day pretty well - just sautee some mushrooms and onions together in the morning - maybe some bell peppers... yum. Of course, I'm also a cold, leftover pizza for breakfast kind of gal too :)

G - You are lucky it's only 10 lbs... heh heh - I've got just a few pounds more than that to lose. I was always unhappy with the regime of weighing in at weigh watcher meetings - AND having to paying a fee. I like to imagine I can lose my own weight without paying someone for it ("Right... nothing's for free baby" she mutters under her breath as she waddles off with her extra unlost poundage...)

Icy - me too.

Dr. John - Somehow that is the story of my life... As a youngster I was able to keep it off, or lose the weight if I had gained a little... now it has all come back in later life to plague me! That is why it is "The Neverending Story".

That's true. Of course, this is all in the conceptual stage - I haven't actually committed to anything yet. That was a few years back that I did WW and it was through work so it was all rather easy. And paying, you're right! When do I start on the all fruit days?

I LOVE the first photo! Hilarious!!

I know a girl, far from fat but not slim, she loves to eat and one day after lunch she layed on the couch, rubbed her rounded belly and said, 'I am working so hard to have this belly. Do you think they give it for free?!'

my take is this...one pound on the front translates to ten pounds on the back......

Is that food in that dish? It looks gross...lol

That sounds like an interesting diet. Good luck with it. What is the name of it? I just may have to check it out.

Sister Celtic - it is the Diet4Idiots and they also have a vegetarian menu. It isn't easy to stick to, but not as bad as some others I've tried.

Anonymous - we don't really eat meatloaf on this diet LOL! I just thought of the diet when I saw it because there IS a lot of protein in it. I'd be thrilled to lose a few lbs.

G - The all fruit day is Day 2 of the 11 days of the diet. It is very cool - and cleansing LOL!!

Ariel the Thief - is that girl you? I think you eat like a bird. I may have some affinities toward birds, but I eat like a horse.

Anonymous - according to you my back should be caved in.

Jillie - I think it is a meatloaf monster. It reminded me of the dieting battle - a food monster of sorts :) You don't need a diet girl - you are the perfect 10.

McRaven - you've got my vote... heh heh - you've already trodden the cutting trail so what's a little more? Just stay away from the Rising Bear - that part is just perfect :)
