I had a quiet stroll through the redwoods in Humboldt County last week. It was a quiet, sweet, clean scented breeze which whispered high above through the treetops, and I bring that image back today. It helps me breathe better just looking at it.

This looks like my old vacation stomping ground. Fresh air in the wonderful redwoods. Much better air than what we're breathing in Rocklin.

Red Mojo - so do I.

Yellowdog Granny - you remember it correctly. I stood still, with my mouth just hanging open in awe at the beauty. It WAS magical, and that feeling stays with you forever after.

Nessa - it is where fairy tales all began.

Anonymous - you know better than most, having spent so many years there.

Keshi - Are there any redwoods in Australia? They are unspeakably beautiful trees.

JJ - it is hard to believe we have such beauty here at times isn't it? It seems like it could be in another world.

Photowannabe - I imagine some of that smoke has even made its way over to the coast by now, although not as chokingly thick as it is up your way. That smoke is a little better today but the sunlight is still orange as it beams it's sickly light into my kitchen window.

SOe - Germany has the most lovely forests too. Iceland has to content itself with a different sort of beauty - of rocks, water, sky and ice.

Anonymous - I think I heard Red Mojo's pretty robin chirping out its song from deep within the woods. The ferns and trees lend their air to the earth.

Galen - thank you.. I have a picture to show you, of a treat we helped ourselves to on our trip. Stay tuned.
