Great sculpture! The sky with these nice clouds still looks like the sea (foam on the waves). Thanks for stopping at my blog. Spring is not arrived in Iceland yet, we got some snow again and it´s quite cold at the moment. But the daylight is back and the sun is shinning. Beautiful Friday!
SJW - Greetings across the pond. Yes, the amazement at new life - well there are just no words to adequately express it. Joy would be one.
Actonbell - It was just screaming for a picture - water girls drying in the air of the sky...
Hobbes - It captured everything light indeed. Made me feel lighter too.
Photowannabe - They couldn't quite be called mermaids because they were wearing fins rather than a tail.
Tom and Icy - What a great thought. That particular statue was really really tall. A miniature would be fabulous.
Anonymous - Free and yet not free - stuck forever with a fin on her boob. xoxo
SOe - That kind of picture can make me dizzy as I look away up at the clouds blowing by... Spring will be soon in Iceland - it is already sprung here. Trees are budding out, birds building their nests and green green hillsides. I do long to be in Iceland again though.
Walking Man - HA HA. I love that line - and it makes me smile to see it applied to this picture.
Doug - You always say eh? You don't say.
Yellowdog Granny - Could be anywhere - even bone dry Texas. Actually it was near Tampa, Florida.
Lime - The sky is one of the most beautiful canvases there is.
okay, what i really wanted to say is that, if someone stepped on my boobs with their flippers, i probably wouldnt be all that graceful... is that better?!

Very nice. I love the way you placed the words - like ripples and waves.
Great photo Terry.
See you became a grandmother recently. Congrats.
Can anything ever equal the wonder of a new life?
That sculpture really has a sense of lightness.
Nice sculpture. I like the water girls in free form.
I'd like to have that weather vein on my house.
freed from the sea... XoXo

Now...finally there is a new and better meaning behind the term "Swims with the fishes"
Free is the best form for a water girl, I always say.

i just wanted to see
