OMG...Roller derby! They've started that again down here. I remember watching it on tv in b&w. It's fun to watch. They sure can move on wheels. Better them than me. xo
Laughing Wolf - It is a road I often walk near where I live. I like it best when there aren't many people on it.
Ariel - The roller derby was great - and our team won! I yelled myself hoarse - isn't that part of the fun?
Doug - The Bear's daughter is a member of the Redwood Roller Girls in Humboldt - so yes, we really had to go see the game up in Chico :) It was swell.
Yellowdog Granny - Roller Derby is a religion all it's own :)
McRaven - Me too. And when I'm not on it, I long to be.
Ranger Tom - Arizona has trees? I thought only cactus. (Kidding - Arizona has some of the most beautiful scenic canyons and back country anywhere).
Siobhán - Thanks. I'm a lazy girl lately when it comes to blogging but I'll see what I can do about your challenge.
Jillie - I remember watching the Los Angeles Thunderbirds on their cool banked roller rink - elbows here, knees there, whipping each other along with arm pulling moves... watching these girls now is just as fun. In fact it's a blast - and their personalities are a real kick.
Fred - Those gals are crazy to a certain extent - (anyone willing to get that banged up is a tad nuts) but they are superb athletes and skilled stratigists in their sport.
Dr. John - :) We sure did.
Nessa - You'd love it. Hmm - new characters for a story...?
LOL! Arizona has trees... The one I see in this picture look like the pinion trees near my house, and up near Flagstaff and in Prescott there are vast pondarosa pine forests.
And you're right, it's full of beautiful areas. I miss it.

Such great pictures. Makes me want to get out on the bicycle and just ride for hours, but getting old and can't ride much anymore.
nice vista :)
Yay for you! Enjoy the road and the derby.
Are you really going to roller derby? (I believe it, for what that's worth.)
i had such a great time when i went to the roller derby in austin..wish waco had a team...they would be the waco religious fanatics..ha
And around every curve in the road everything old becomes new again in the freshness of the day.
I love being on the road...
Reminds me of some of the back roads near my house when I lived in northern Arizona...
Hi Terry
Hope you've had a good trip.
I've tagged you for a meme at 100 Words from Dublin if you'd like to take part.

I love roller derby. I used to watch it all the time when I was in high school. The ladies were my favorite, they seemed to be crazy.
Enjoy!
Roller Derby - really?
Me too Tom.
