Dogs can't look you in the eye and lie - it just doesn't work!

its true...i remember our old dog Scooter, she was just plain old nuts...shepherd huskie, she somehow got up on to the stove, and ate an entire 9 x 13 pan of cabbage rolls that i had cooling there for a few hours...when i came back to Chris' apartment and realized she had eaten the entire pan ful and licked the damn thing clean, she was waddling along the hallway, her gut swaying back and forth full of cabbage rolls, and shes like, "what? i didnt eat anything..."
it was so ridiculous, i just laughed, watching her try to walk normally with this giant distended belly full of cabbage rolls...figured her digestive system would deliver her a special brand of punishment, eventually...
but whenever she did something unseemly, she'd always look away, with this vastly guilty look on her face...she had that look a lot...

That is too funny! I don't think that I've ever seen that one before...hahaha.

Yeah, dogs have a guilty look. Cats on the other hand they look at you and erect their middle claw...lol!

JJ - Ha ha, that is a funny story! It reminds me of another dog who had the over-stuffed stomach syndrome... We had a beagle named Mandy when I was a kid... she was ALWAYS hungry. She was always at attention for the next treat, snuffling about for a missed morsel. One time I performed an experiment. I wanted to see just how much food she could eat before being satisfied - really unable to eat another bite. So, I mixed up a giant bowl of dogfood - canned and dry, lots of nice hot water to make gravy, and let her chow down. Funny enough, I can't remember the actual amount of food that she devoured. All I remember is sitting a little bit later in the living room with my parents, and hearing my mother's horrified exclaimation "DONN! What is wrong with the dog? Come look!" And then, with her best efforts, along came Mandy down the hall, waddling one foot at a time, hauling her heavy swollen body as best as she could toward the sanctuary of the cool tile floor where she would throw herself down to pass out. (she survived, no harm done with my thoughtless experiment)

Jillie - You have cats pegged 100% Dogs just can't help but be honest - they aren't called man's best friend for nothing :-D

Tai - Love it when you stop by :-)

Jodes - Ah, enjoying this glorious weather.. soon to change though up here though as rain is on its way.

Hello Dan - yes, some dogs do eat magnets - and other things for whatever reason I have no idea. Yes - long time no visit. I wish you the best with your "walk"... looks like you will tip over the top of your fundraising as you are close to your goal already.

Little Old - don't make me come up there...

JJ - I wrote to you about that song... so many people seem to know those words.

Autumn - thanks! Had a great weekend - always bummed out when they are over :-( Brother and Dad were here - had fun in the city - saw the best show ever with tons of laughs (Beach Blanket Babylon)

Actonbell - Happy rest of the weekend - sadly over now... tomorrow time to hit the salt mines again. Still spring there?

JJ - no more magnets - et by the dog... LOL
