Terry, you are like newspapers. When they say something is not going to happen under no circumstances, you can be sure it will happen soon. Are you as happy as I think you are? :-)
Have removed living room carpet--nice hardwood floor--quick sand and seal,,and ready for that pine-sol...think we can get it by the gallon at the dollar store----MMM,,nothing like the smell of Pine-Sol in the morning...Just one??she or he will need a buddy in doggie crime,,,,are these your chewed up leather sandals :-)xoxo
annonymous - It is a good thing you are around. I have a will of jello where those dang beagles are concerned. Stand by me now.
Bla - howdy over there to Bulgaria - *waves* Do they have beagles over there?
Joe - no, we're not pregnant.
Keshi - yes, the cute beagle pictured (but then, what beagle isn't cute) is a beautiful hunk. Not mine though, despite what his sign longs for.
Tai - yes, don't look into those eyes... you'll be lost.
TLP - Stop popping my bubble dream of retirement... I'll have so much time I won't know what to do with myself, la la la la I can't hear you.... (not that retirement is any time soon for me at this point anyway! LOL)
Tom and Icy - yes, so beautiful. And so far away (gazes wistfully toward the east where the beagle rescue is located...) Thanks for the kind words (grins foolishly)
Ariel - alas, *heavy sigh* the "picture" of the handsome pup on my site is as close as I have gotten to the wiggly, happy, joyous bundle of energy that is called a beagle. I'm being good. For now.
Annonymous: did you see my Bear's admonishment above? No, no no no "No dogs allowed......" (sung in my best Snoopy chorus voice)
Nessa - If all they were was cute, then there wouldn't be any problem with getting another one. There are myriads of other little details/characteristics which must be addressed when adopting a little cute beagle puppy. But I always tend to forget about each and every one of them once I get one in hand....
Minka - Help me! I need help resisting the pull of desire from those puppy eyes...cute they are indeed - and so very powerful!
Neva - Puppy in holding pattern - holding, holding...
Awe shucks! I just read a few lines, like everyone else has. The author makes all of the readers individually shine when in fact we just reflect his prowess as an extremely talented and humorous writer.
Autumn - Monday, yes :) Happy? Well, why not call it marvelous and entirely wishing you the same! Weekend was great - REALLY nice. Went hiking for 4 miles or more on very steep terrain. Building up the calves you know... ouch ouch ouch. Hard to hobble about this morning, but feeling better all the time.
annonymous - gasp! Lordy, now what??????? I thought you were my brick wall of resistance!!!! My dialing finger is poised on the Beagle Rescue phone number... help yelp yelp arrrooooooooo
Mo'a - ha ha, someone coined that phrase when looking at a beautifully perfect baby beagle, simply LOOKING with it's eyes filled with limpid longing...
Jillie - yep, there is no redemption after gazing into the treacherous eyes of a young puppy... and they all know it.. For me it's beagles, but you know, any puppy knows the ropes... LOL!
Vino... perhaps you shall sample the best next weekend. You know, I was just there last weekend... G will be gone, but give me a call. Email me if you have any extra time - would love to join you... :)
yes Joe, you wild trumpet savage, you.... there's something you should know.... that dog can SPELL!!
Terrence, you read this weeks Doug thang! thats so uber cool, its not funny! what a most excellent reading voice you have! very expressive, clear and bright. i just found it now! (oops!) wonderful surprise, congratulations! xo
Terry, just catching up! Firstly, you did a great job at Doug's this past weekend. Loved hearing your voice and it was interesting how Doug hear similarities as after he pointed it out - I did too! Anyway, wonderful job.
You went to teh Summer of Love anniversary? What fun!
I'm looking at this beagle picture and predicting that one figures in your future. Just my guess.
Lisa - thanks :) It was a really fun thing to do. I love to read out loud. I had a bit of an adventure in taking a trip to good old Radio Shack to get the microphone (I don't play Kariyoke ya know), and a whole other adventure trying to hook it up, get it to really work, talk into it, and then not make a million bloopers at the same time. I highly recommend it, and am genuinely looking forward to your joining the annals of Doug's Audio Library of Exotic Readers :)
JJ - blogger has been steadily eating my comments for days - highly frustrating to me to come over the next day only to look in vain for my comment. Grrrrr.
G - thanks for the kind words. I really thought it was fun - and I suppose I've not been so childishly excited the night before in a long time! I love having an East Coast Sis - hey, You tawking to me? Oh it's you? Okay :)
Summer of Love was fun, mellow, historic... we had a very nice day and I'm so glad we went.
I never know when a beagle will strike... they are so unpredictable. I might get lucky...
Doug: No, it's cousin Desmond. How's the rabbit out there in the wild west?
TC: *Innocently looks at the ceiling...* pattern?
Actonbell - I like em both. (Except gulls poop on you more).
i dont get the comment eating thing either. this happened to me in Doug land the other day, and i believe on yours as well, but dont you usually have interesting adventures with your computer anyway? love that you went to radio shack to get y'all mic. very adventurous, girl. see, i'm worried i'll trip over words, or not be able to see them so well now that words look like flypoop in my old age...perceptions change as we get older, and even tho that sometimes delivers us to newer and more spacious vistas, spiritually and mentally etc, i'd prefer to be able to just see the darn words... its a tradeoff. actually, i kinda like the downloaded info over good eyesight, i take that back....
